In the fourth quarter of 2024, Australia's top navigation and maps apps on the Android platform showcased varied performance trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a notable presence with weekly downloads starting at around 12.3K and peaking at approximately 17.7K by the end of December. Active users also saw an overall increase, beginning at 457K and climbing to over 520K.

Google Earth exhibited a steady download rate, ranging from 3.6K to 4.8K per week. Active users decreased slightly from 57K to 47.5K by the quarter’s end.

Digital Compass for Android recorded consistent weekly revenue, reaching a high of $161 mid-quarter. Downloads fluctuated between 1.3K and 2.3K, while active users rose from 8.4K to over 10K.

GPS+ Maps, Navigation, Traffic had varied revenue, with a peak of $105 in early November. Downloads increased early in the quarter, reaching 2.9K in early November, but saw a sharp decline thereafter. Active users followed a similar trend, dropping from 11K to about 2.3K.

Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer showed a steady increase in downloads, starting at 1.2K and ending at 2.3K. Active users also experienced growth, increasing from 1.6K to 2.4K.
